'The Polar Express' (2004)
A wondrously imaginative, diverse, and spirited allegory of childhood and the arduousness of adulthood.

Holly Jensen leads an overly dramatic life. It's one that is spent trying to avoid her problems and forget the past. Best friend Kali has the perfect solution to making Holly feel better. It's a game called "Wrong Number". However, the man on the other end finds the joke less than funny and decides to play a game of his own. A game where Holly will become the pawn. It's a character-driven thriller where everything has consequences and something as beautiful as a rose can be turned into any woman's, worst nightmare.
A wondrously imaginative, diverse, and spirited allegory of childhood and the arduousness of adulthood.
Outer Banks (2020-) knows its audience: young adults in a country that can’t stop romanticizing good ole’ treasure hunts. Add a little of Riverdale’s (2017-) sex appeal, and no one can look away. Forty years after The Goonies (1985) America’s consciousness hasn’t strayed from the same tropes: treasure hunts, a vulnerable white male lead, and the whitewashing of a racially segregated setting.
Another story focuses on the bond between a young man and a shelter dog in this Netflix drama film.
An unlikely friendship changes the hearts of men, and helps a young boy come into his own.
The film didn’t have to be as long as it is. It just dragged on and on with scenes that had no substance. Every so often we get an action scene, and even those isn’t that fun.
'Young Royals' is a great example of positive gay representation in its two main protagonists, but the supporting characters are often frustratingly selfish.
