Under the scorching sun of the rugged Greek countryside, the young star-crossed lovers, Aggelos and Irini, dare to dream of a better future in dazzling but faceless Athens. Amid fear and prejudice, the couple has planned everything down to the last detail; however, the lack of money, and a momentary lapse of judgment, will condemn the two companions to a life of misery, as every police officer from their small village to the bustling capital is already informed of Aggelos' crime.
