On the eve of their wedding Lauren and Derek start to have second thoughts brought on inadvertently by their friends Carly and Rob when they tell them separately stories about other couples who have sexual problems after they have married. When Carly and Rob realize the damage they may have caused they quickly meet up with Lauren and Derek again and share that other couples experience in the hopes that Lauren and Derek will change their minds.
At its heart, it’s a fond tribute to an influential artist and thus one that can speak to everyone’s inner artist, even if it lacks the sincere commentary you may wish to see.
This short film was an overall creative success.
This film manages to be simultaneously topical and timeless. Without being preachy, it highlights society’s flawed relationship with tech; insights into the complex ideas of family struggle are expertly dispersed among a perfectly paced and balanced story.
