A few episodes in, I realized the most prominent theme of In The Long Run wasn't culture, race or even finding independence--but the idea of belonging.

His wife, Tomomi, is a nurse and prefers to work the well-paying night shifts, so the couple only have sex when Tomomi is tired after a night shift and Yazo has morning wood.
