Hope for A New Life

Jiani, who has been working hard in Yuehai City for many years with her boyfriend Zhiyuan, recently encountered disagreements with him over the matters of marriage and buying a house. A phone call led her to reconnect with her biological family and embark on a journey to find them. She discovered that she actually has three biological siblings. During her time with her birth family, the three sisters healed each other emotionally, reminding Jiani of the bits and pieces of her childhood with her adoptive father. This experience prompted her to reevaluate her understanding of family relationships and emotions. Upon returning to Yuehai City, seeing Zhiyuan, who had always welcomed her back home at the bridge, Jiani summoned the courage to make changes.

Marion Ravenwood, the Unsung Hero of 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'

For the entirety of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Marion remains in full control of both her body and her personality, a rarity for female characters at the time of the film’s release. She’s granted depth with personal demons from her past and emotional vulnerability when the situation deems it appropriate for her to grow alongside Indy. She avidly rejects the notion of being anything other than a sassy, humane rebel, and Indy’s equal in every way. This she does while still maintaining her femininity.
