“The Thursday Murder Club” Provides a Cozy Mystery

After the Tenryu-kai kill the Kameda-gumi boss and Wakagashira, the Kameda-gumi move to wipe them out. Executives Saigo, Katsuragi, and Hidaka exploit a weakness in Tenryu-kai officer Hashida to locate their hideout, setting the stage for a brutal all-out war.

Films can alleviate alienation by presenting realities where the viewers feelings are shared by onscreen characters. 'The Little Mermaid" film can be interpreted as a transgender story.
Seeing that the film was essentially his first big, mainstream feature, and with garnering a leading role — portraying the revolutionary ball-player Jackie Robinson — Boseman, without question, delivered a performance that is still so incredibly moving, respectful, genuine, and true to the core of his obviously sincere, artistic heart; and with that, it is indeed so saddening to see him pass.
Even with its straightforward premise, “Richard Jewell” is ramped up by exceptional drama. In all honesty, the performances are out of this world. As Jewell, Paul Walter Hauser becomes a walking representation of gullibility. His bumbling antics create the perfect hero, and very quickly, we feel the societal heat that surrounds our protagonists.
