The Berghotel Edelweiss, located amidst a picture-book landscape, is a traditional family business. To meet growing demands, Max Höllerer takes out a loan to expand the property. Unfortunately, he has speculated. The bank sells the house, but secretly plans to make a large spa hotel out of it. The attractive Sarah Sand is scheduled on Höllerer to make him the post of managing director tasty.
At its heart, it’s a fond tribute to an influential artist and thus one that can speak to everyone’s inner artist, even if it lacks the sincere commentary you may wish to see.
“Synchronic” is special, but it doesn’t succeed in achieving all the objectives it aims for. The film is a science fiction oeuvre which tries to be cerebral at some points, although the original idea is interesting, it only accomplishes to talk about some serious matters superficially.
