
A modest teacher of ancient literature, Andrey, accidentally witnesses a bank robbery. This is how he meets Sergey, who introduces himself as the head of the security service. The sudden friendship of two opposites will trigger a whole series of sudden, tragicomic and strange events, thanks to which Andrey will learn much more about himself and get acquainted with his dark self.
At least we got the original cast back, right? Not even that saves it. None of them could bring a sliver of hope to this special. Rather, they bring dread as we witness the light leaving from their eyes.
Where we leave the characters is in such a peaceful and optimistic place. It feels well-earned to ensure everyone gets their own specially-crafted happy ending.

It surely isn't for everybody and could certainly offend some folks, but Troll Hunter takes a different approach to representing religion in a film.
It's sexy, regardless of what else is going on.
