Two sworn enemies—geologists with opposing views on life—set off alone through the dense taiga of the northern Urals to the town of Vangur with the aim of confirming the location of valuable titanium ore deposits. This is not a slavery story, it is a freedom story. The viewers only see Harriet as a slave for the first few minutes of the film. To me, it felt like watching the origin story of a superhero…which is both good and bad.
The story of the loss of innocence of the young prey who has been maimed by the predator. *Trigger Warning, sexual abuse and assault is discussed in this short film.
I hate the idea that animation’s for kids; just because it’s animated doesn’t mean that it’s some silly cartoon and shouldn’t be taken seriously.

So do I recommend that people see this movie, yes 100%, but do I think they are going to come out of it with 80 hot takes, yes 100%.
With a quirky outline, Project Hail Mary stays within the bounds of human language and imperial fantasy.
