
In 1918, as in many other parts of Azerbaijan, Armenian armed groups committed genocide against Azerbaijanis in several villages of the Ismayilli region. It is regrettable that although certain studies have been conducted on the facts of genocide in other regions, this region has remained out of focus. The film creates a picture of the era through the generational memory of the local population, creating an idea of the events that took place 107 years ago in the modern viewer. The leitmotif of the film is the thoughts of a veteran of the Patriotic War in 2020. He ponders the events that his ancestors once suffered. In this feature, the veteran, who remembers the location of the martyr's grave that his grandfather bequeathed to him in a dream, goes to visit that grave.
Although Fargo is not actually based on a true story, I do believe it is worth the watch. It has drama, suspense, and a mysterious figure to keep you engaged.
