
he Della Morte Sisters are introduced in this short animated steampunk film 'Della Mortika: Carousel of Shame'. The film follows the sisters after they arrive in Australia and are sent to the Skipping Girl Home for Wayward and Homeless Girls (it is set between books 2 and 3). The Della Morte Sisters have their sisterly bond put to the test when jealousy rears its ugly head. The film has been produced in a stop-motion style using paper puppets and pop-ups to bring the girls from the pages of the books into lively animation.

Ultimately the problem with The Bubble is that it plays everything for laughs to get around the audience’s defenses. But it comes off like a privileged white male thinking that ridiculing everyone else equally is the road to equality. And it’s not. And it's definitely not funny to pretend that it is.
