19-year old Dani Papp lives with his father Tibor, a sex-obsessed and hedonistic gynecologist who pushes his young son to follow in his footsteps. Dani is his exact opposite, shy and romantic, looking for true love instead of sex. A trip to France to visit his musician uncle helps him to understand his own personality and his relationship to his father.
Honey Don't! is a chaotic queer noir that's part detective story, part midnight movie madness. Margaret Qualley is fantastic as the wise-cracking private eye Honey, with Aubrey Plaza and Chris Evans adding their own dry humor to the mix. The mystery itself is pretty loose, but the film makes up for it with crackling sexual tension, weird side characters, and razor-sharp dialogue. It's messy and uneven, but in the best possible way.
Despite being an over-talked-about piece of media, 'Euphoria' has some interesting articles about it with personal angles that oppose the average tendency to be generic.
I came across Urchin by chance and decided to watch it because of the title. It made me think of the spiky animal that lives at the bottom of the ocean, and the old Dickensian novels, where an urchin was an orphaned, homeless child in shaggy and dirty clothes.
Overall, Altered Carbon: Resleeved is pretty “meh.” It’s cool and all that it takes a different approach from the TV show to make it animated rather than live action, but it doesn’t help that the animation looks like something from a video game.
