Surface Level "People We Meet on Vacation" is Still a Fun Time
Unfortunately, People We Meet on Vacation didn’t hold up quite as well as I’d hoped.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia is announcing a competition for amateur theater groups. A group of sex workers working at the “Cafe Hibash” unexpectedly express their desire to form a theater group and participate in the competition by staging Aristophanes’ play “Lysistrata.”
Unfortunately, People We Meet on Vacation didn’t hold up quite as well as I’d hoped.
The Chronology of Water is a raw, honest, and unforgiving portrayal of how an abusive childhood ripples throughout one’s life. It is definitely the best movie I’ve seen Imogen Poots in. And even though Kristen Stewart has a long acting career for her young age, her directorial skills in this film show a lot of promise. Her feature debut as a director, an adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch's critically acclaimed 2011 autobiographical memoir, is fully immersive, mesmerizing, and impressive.
A commentary on the exploitation of the elderly fueld by the inherent greed of capitalism.
The problem isn’t that it’s bad. It's good. But it fails to stand out from a crowd of similar films.

The film exhibits a respect for the craft and an empathy for human tribulations that have historically been ignored.
