An old father patrols the vast lands of a futuristic Iceland, as he is remotely supervised by his daughter. A mysterious accident brings his truck to a halt, and gets him stuck in a sea of haze. Will he survive what's lurking beyond the fog?
Overall, Altered Carbon: Resleeved is pretty “meh.” It’s cool and all that it takes a different approach from the TV show to make it animated rather than live action, but it doesn’t help that the animation looks like something from a video game.
On top of the phenomenal acting, and great dialogue between the two characters, the cinematography was ravishing! The sound was outstanding! The production design was simple, yet intrinsic. The minimalistic approach in the Malibu beach house represented how little they really have going on in their relationship. The storyline may have been much simpler than "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf," but all the more insightful, and much more animalistic at its core.
'The Invisible Man' triumphs in tension even as it drops the ball on genuine surprise for the audience.
'Wolf Like Me' works if you want a show to shut off your brain while watching. If you think too much, you'll hurt yourself.
