Azeem Banatwalla's second stand-up special is a wickedly dark show that taps into the inner, evil voice in the back of all our heads, and uses it to solve the biggest problems plaguing the country – stupidity, moral policing, racism, indoctrination, overpopulation, Kashmir, the government, and of course, Pigeons. Overall, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy is plagued by numerous flaws, both from a quality and from a diversity standpoint. The film relies on gore and loud sounds to drown out its flat script, flatter dialogue, and one-dimensional characters.

All in all, “Event Horizon” is a cinematic misfire, begging to be perfected in the future. While it possesses an array of admirable visuals, the film leaves much to be desired. If only we could see Anderson’s preferred cut, which featured more character development and tortuous imagery. In the meantime, I have a catchphrase for this film: In space no one can hear you snore.
Gritty and bleak are the best words to describe this film. There’s nothing happy about it.
