Kacey, a newly qualified pilates coach, is under immense pressure to pass her probation period while dealing with anonymous online reviews that threaten her mental stability. The constant scrutiny from both her clients and assessors pushes her to the edge, blurring the lines between her professional demeanor and personal frustrations. As negative feedback intensifies, Kacey's internal battle manifests in her classes, leading to a climactic confrontation where she demands apologies from her harshest critics. Kacey must decide whether or not to take control of her life, accepting this lifestyle or confronting the toxic environment.
Cursed is based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel, and is a retelling of the Arthurian legend with a twist. Instead of King Arthur gaining Excalibur, a teenage sorceress named Nimue (Katherine Langford) does. Her people — the Fey — are being hunted down, and so Nimue will do whatever it takes to save them.
One Night in Miami... did not frame the racism and bigotry as something that could be solved by quality time spent between individuals. Instead, it featured four different legends of Black History together in one room disagreeing for about 2/3 of the film.
Pressure is an unambiguously great movie, lead by convincing performances, a well-crafted script, good direction, and at least some social awareness.
Crazy Rich Asians. The title is tacky, but the actual movie is both heartwarming and cosmopolitan. After all, it takes place in Singapore!
Disney has hopefully learned some lessons since 1994. Are those lessons reflected in the 2019 remake of "The Lion King?"
