An Unlikely Story (2020)
Syl, a young news video editor, copes with severe anxiety and depression, which causes her to struggle with ending her own life. She befriends an odd loner, Jeff, who introduces himself as a cannibal. The two make a pact where Jeff will kill and consume Syl, but they have to spend time together in order to be aqcuainted. Originally a parody of When Harry Met Sally, AN UNLIKELY STORY is a dark comedy, which explores the trials and tribulatons of lonliness and depression. As naturally social beings, humans are always in constant need of companionship. This film takes nature of being an odd duck in society and finding the one. How far would you go to find a companion in your lonely, desolate life?
