Afrojack - Tomorrowland 2022 (2022)

This indie short documentary archived the story of a staple rock band as well as an essential part of local history.

After the untimely death of his brother by way of an ambush in Kandahar, Afghanistan, the protagonist, ‘81’(Alan Ritchson) unsuccessfully makes several attempts to become an Army Ranger. On his last mission to complete the Ranger selection process he and his squad encounter an otherworldly ‘soldier’.

Through three intricately crafted seasons of television, "Hannibal" has managed to make itself into the best incarnation of the self-titled work.

"Driveways" is a nuanced portrait of an Asian American family, touching on themes of loss, growth, and belonging.

Episode 3, entitled “Now in Color,” brings us to the 1970s — a decade full of vibrancy, color, and total mayhem.

In addition to the cast being delightfully diverse this time around, the film was just loosely-plotted and action-packed enough to keep a casual fan like myself entertained. While I do agree that the writing of Cole left much to be desired for an original character thrust into a preconceived universe, none of the characters seemed particularly fleshed out in terms of personality; however, I think that's to be expected when you're watching a film literally inspired by a video game.
