Kesse (Pascale Numan) loves nothing more than May (Sira-Anna Fasl) and skateboarding. Everything changes when Kesse accidentally pushes May's annoying little brother Pepe (Lasse Berg) off a wall to his death. Excluded from the skate crew, Kesse tries to navigate back to everyday life while May and her mother Sheila (Melika Foroutan) grieve and cut off contact. Kesse finds themself caught between the guilt that needs to go somewhere and the fear of no longer belonging.
When it comes down to it, The English explores what happens when power is unchecked and how those who seem powerless, have more strength than most through their convictions for justice.
‘Concerto’ is esoteric at best, meant to satisfy the non-melanted’s sense of nostalgia. It is revisionist at worst, cherry-picking images that defy the true tapestry of the human condition.
WandaVision is already proving to be a huge success.
During the third act, the momentum stalls, largely due to the film’s obsession with Kubrick’s visual design. But all in all, Doctor Sleep is a cinematic success, defined by rich characters and high powered emotion.
Remember when there was this amazing comedy titled "National Lampoon's Vacation"? To this day, it is a true classic of the genre and certainly put a new spin on precisely what KINDS of insanity could occur when taking the fam on the road. Then, like with so many successful films, there was the sequel (which for me was even MORE of a classic than the original!). However, the third film emerged....and then a fourth. Suddenly, the luster was gone and disappointment set in.
Mr. Malcolm's List is a pleasant promenade through a fantasy Regency-era England filled with people of color. For fans of Bridgerton, this is the PG version of the show, but with completely colorblind casting and a much lighter tone.
