A young man and a young woman spend the evening by the campfire. The girl asks about the starry sky and the photometric paradox, and the young man answers her with lyrical statements of great people about the infinity of the Universe. Frustrated, she rides off on a motorcycle with another young man.
Overall, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy is plagued by numerous flaws, both from a quality and from a diversity standpoint. The film relies on gore and loud sounds to drown out its flat script, flatter dialogue, and one-dimensional characters.
A musical adventure that young viewers will enjoy as Blue and Josh travel to New York City for a big opportunity.
Everyone needs a BFF and a "wing person" like Yumi (Chloris Li). Li brings the "straight person" persona, literally and figuratively balancing James Aaron Oh's perfectly timed comedic delivery as the unlucky-in-love.
Despite everything it was capable of, all of these poor choices strung together amount to nothing more than a counter-productive film.
All in all, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged is a film I would recommend. It promotes the bond of sisterhood, which in this case is clearly thicker than blood, as well as courage. No one truly knows how strong they are until they go through something unimaginable and come out changed for the better.
