Lilith is our heroine. She has the task of creating a song in one day to submit for a commercial that could potentially be a big break in her musical career. It just so happens that that “one day” is a very busy day at her money job. And it just so happens that that “money job” is as a sex worker named "Eve".
But what many do not know is that in 2019, a Wonder Woman film was released that had all of the positive qualities of WW84, and remedied many of the negative ones. Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, a direct-to-video animated movie in the DC Animated Movie Universe, perfectly balances the campiness and seriousness of the character.
Given a choice between a man and a mountain, it’s safer to choose the mountain.
An aspect of She-Ra that I find refreshing is even though a large portion of the cast is on the LGBTQ+ Spectrum, being gay is never mentioned. While this might initially sound like a negative thing, in the show’s land of Etheria being on the gay spectrum is shown to be so common and normalized that straight isn’t the default. As much as there is to appreciate about narratives revolving around the obstacles that may come from being non-heteronormative, it’s nice to get immersed in a world where no one bats an eye at all to any sort of differing identity.
If you want to feel the rush, you have to take the risk.
