Mom remarried this dude and things go well a while. However, Mom suddenly passed away, and just as fast the new Dad character completely changed. He begins to channel his anger against the daughter (Takasho) and to the little brother. Especially to Shoko, who she begins to bang on a daily basis. The little brother witnessed the abuse, and got a boner… Like Father like son. Because yes, its a new Shota series, by MOODYZ no less.
The film didn’t have to be as long as it is. It just dragged on and on with scenes that had no substance. Every so often we get an action scene, and even those isn’t that fun.

But with her insightful direction of 1991’s Mississippi Masala, Nair shows how much she deserves to be known as an artist. Delivering a nuanced portrait of a romance between a Black man and an Indian woman living in the South, Nair explores the complications each character faces, giving both equal weight.
Yeah, sure, the movie’s about Carnage. But it’s really about love. A love that defies all odds: the love between a man and his man-eating alien symbiote.

Escape The Field is a serviceable horror thriller. The characters are easier to remember as horror character tropes. As I wrote this review, I only remembered the characters by their tropes: #FinalGirl, #Everyman, #Badass, #MeanB*/SexyGirl, #Realist/BlackLesbian, and #TheNerd.
