A tradition that goes back in the region for over 400 years. All family members participate in the slaughtery and the goat meat preparation. The film is mostly a reflection about life and death at the Mixteca, the protagonists deal with their concepts on life, death and passions. The traditions and music of the region are present through the Pasatono Orchestra, Lila Downs singing voice and a peasant who wonders: What do goats dream?

It was just going to be six episodes, which was short considering that all the other seasons — except season 7 — were 10 episodes. 10. 6 wasn’t enough, and even HBO wanted to give the writers more episodes. More seasons, even. However, the writers wanted to get out of the show as quickly as possible to work on other projects. This abruptness is clearly shown in this season.
