"Backrooms" Succeeds
We got a movie that takes the old school approach of trying to creep you out with chilling atmosphere more than anything else.

For Rachel college is proving to be a nightmare. She's on academic probation and if she fails even one class, she'll be kicked out. So when she gets a failing grade on her latest report, she's crushed, thinking that it's all over for her... until she sees that the professor has scribbled his number on the back of her work. Professor Sloan has always had a thing for her. She now suddenly realizes that she can use his infatuation with her to her advantage. Taylor is excited to have one last slumber party with her best friend, Megan. They're both soon going away for college and their friendship is sure to change. Taylor drifts off to , but is later stirred by the feeling of heat against her back. When she rolls over, she comes face-to-face with Megan's older brother, Luke! You see, Luke has certain urges... and since Megan's his sister, he can't really act on them. Taylor doesn't want Megan to fall into Luke's twisted hands...

If you are a discerning movie watcher and/or an African-American with a modicum of Black consciousness, this film isn’t for you. It would be better to watch the documentary ‘They Fight’ to see the impactful, emotional story of Walter Manigan and the young men of DC’s Ward 8.
Not only does the system prevent upward mobility, but it makes it incredibly easy to slide from comfortably middle class to unhoused.
Despite this genre not being a new one, The Novice offers a fresh perspective with its study of performance anxiety
The film follows the biblical story of Moses, from his time as a prince of Egypt, to a leader for the people of Israel. It’s a film that works brilliantly in animation, and is one that both children and adults can; enjoy despite its religious contexts, it is friendly to general audiences.
