In 1995, the year before the comprehensive gun ban policy was implemented, the tranquility of Mangya Town was shattered. A notorious bandit leader, who had hidden a massive treasure, broke out of prison. Forty-three ruthless outlaws gathered from all directions, joining their leader, Beishan, in blockading Mangya by force. The entire town was plunged into a desperate crisis—cut off from fuel and communication! The bandits wanted both money and lives. Gunfire erupted across Mangya as a massive sandstorm loomed on the horizon. Facing impossible odds—one gun against eighty-eight—the gang also turned on each other in a brutal "dog-eat-dog" power struggle. Surrounded by enemies, with sandstorms blotting out the sun and death hanging by a thread—how can they turn the tide?
The Mandolorian has a more nuanced and commentative take on masculinity that refrains from praising the toxic traits associated with the social category, while also showing a more positive and transformative representation of masculine characters.
Honey Don't! is a chaotic queer noir that's part detective story, part midnight movie madness. Margaret Qualley is fantastic as the wise-cracking private eye Honey, with Aubrey Plaza and Chris Evans adding their own dry humor to the mix. The mystery itself is pretty loose, but the film makes up for it with crackling sexual tension, weird side characters, and razor-sharp dialogue. It's messy and uneven, but in the best possible way.
A gentle coming of age story, Water Lilies takes its time in exploring what it’s like to be a young girl trying to make sense of her sexuality in a heteronormative world.
The Outer Senshi get characterization and some stellar moments in the second part of the Eternal movie duo.
KIMI is the main character of this film and as much as I wish it was Angela Childs played by Zoe Kravitz, it isn't. KIMI is a smart device that works not unlike Amazon's Alexa and Google's Nest assisting in anything from home purchases to music playing all under the guise of only activating when in use.
