Showing a Black, Asian or Latino young man that is afforded the space to be vulnerable, flawed and sensitive while driving a compelling and widely-loved narrative would have been a game changer.
This action thriller is made with the hope that the black youth of America will feel empowered, and realize the significance of their heritage.
Though 'Bound' technically falls under the genres of crime and thriller, the film's heart is a romance between two women.
