The story is about a girl who grows up almost like an orphan in a joint family of two brothers and their families. She has lost her mother (a sister of the brothers) in childhood and her father is a habitual gambler with a bad luck. She develops romance with one of the two cousins in the house.

While I do agree that the writing of Cole left much to be desired for an original character thrust into a preconceived universe, none of the characters seemed particularly fleshed out in terms of personality; however, I think that's to be expected when you're watching a film literally inspired by a video game.
