Gretel & Hansel Gets Lost in Its Beautiful Woods
Gretel & Hansel falters due to its razor thin story and lack of characterization. It loses sight of horror’s key rule: In order to create an effective tale, characters and emotions must be emphasized.

Soviet engineer Viktor Loginov, who came to one of the East as a technical representative of the Minsk Automobile Plant, had to take part in an international rally due to the illness of a professional racer. Among the experienced aces from other countries, Victor was a beginner. Many representatives of foreign firms are interested in losing in the most difficult struggle. This would give an occasion to close the path to the world market for the new Soviet machine. But courage, mutual assistance and self-confidence help Victor overcome all stages of the most difficult path, where the danger came from both nature and people.

In Saudi Arabia, a little girl (Wadjda) is told she can't have a bike because she's a girl. Wadjda struggles to obtain a bicycle to race her friend, Abdullah, due to the gender inequality and cultural norms of Saudi Arabia.
Overall this movie was an easy watch, but by no means a worthwhile watch.
All in all, “Event Horizon” is a cinematic misfire, begging to be perfected in the future. While it possesses an array of admirable visuals, the film leaves much to be desired. If only we could see Anderson’s preferred cut, which featured more character development and tortuous imagery. In the meantime, I have a catchphrase for this film: In space no one can hear you snore.
The human experience is described through the eyes of a marginalized outsider, neither judgmental nor invested, just an observant donkey.
I understand that this would have been consistent with the language used by that generation, due to its role in the medical profession, however as someone who has family members with Down Syndrome I took it very personally.
