The Big Blackout

We're in the midst of July, the month in which Americans are supposed to be at their most patriotic! With barbecues, beach trips, and fireworks galore, this is the month where we celebrate our country. In between celebrating and feasting, it's important to remember the very basis this country is founded on: "liberty and justice for all."

Where we leave the characters is in such a peaceful and optimistic place. It feels well-earned to ensure everyone gets their own specially-crafted happy ending.

Guillermo del Toro's masterwork "Pan's Labyrinth" stands test of time as it celebrates 20th anniversary in theaters.

"Up" features one of Pixar's few Asian-American heroes and explores the institutionalized hardships elderly people face. Also, Dug is a good boy.

A young boy who runs away from home discovers friendship when he befriends a young dragon in this animated movie.

The second season arrives over three years after its first. While late on arrival, most audience members will be happy.
