Gemini Man Review: A Poor Utilization of a Promising Cast
You can have the best filmmaker and cast in the world, but if the script is lacking, you’re in a troublesome state. Such is the case with Gemini Man, a film full of tremendous artists.

A mysterious traveler encounters Dr. Mirjami and Inga on the road. They lure the young man to a boarding house, where their husbands already live, along with the poet Annikki, the boarding house landlady Mrs. Soisalo, and her lover Einar. Unlike other documentaries about Princess Diana, Perkins’ film, 'The Princess', is an entire documentary consisting of media coverage and public opinion, rather than a typical series of people interviewed with firsthand experience of the Princess. 'The Princess' beautifully depicts how we perceive Diana as a media figure rather than a real person, specifically creating her persona as a fairytale figure turned saint and icon.
When diverse representation is featured on-screen, it oftentimes comes with strings attached that undermine the message they were trying to send. This can be attributed to the fact that behind-the-screen, the industry primarily does not reflect the breadth of diverse difference that is present in daily life. That’s why when something as powerful and authentic as Minari comes along, it is both incredibly wonderful and needs a large audience to witness it.
A haunting look at grief, survival, and a mother’s quiet collapse in a world that never gave her room to fall.
The sequel to the first film, A Second Chance: Rivals! talks about Maddy combating cyberbullying and racism.
