The movie captures the story of two brothers Dan (Van Vicker) and Victor (Jim Iyke) Umejesi; born by wealthy parents yet with different personalities. The plot in its stylistic manner ushers us into their lives; the complications, issues and battles that arose in their family the moment the most unexpected happened. This is a movie that tied around greed, resentments, intrigues, ulterior motives, wastefulness and indiscipline.

This film was filled with great plot points. Unfortunately, they all contradicted each other and clashed. Had the premise of Awake been more consistent and accurately portrayed the real world aspect, I think this could have been an extreme success.
I came across Urchin by chance and decided to watch it because of the title. It made me think of the spiky animal that lives at the bottom of the ocean, and the old Dickensian novels, where an urchin was an orphaned, homeless child in shaggy and dirty clothes.
