One man divorces his wife and falls in love with a woman who frequents the bar alone. Even if they’re both aware that the man has a son and the woman in the bar has a daughter, they decides to live together. One day as she is left alone, the mother cleans the house and accidentally sees the paperwork, and finds out that the house and all the properties are inherited by her son. With her eyes on the property, the following days, she tries to seduce her son by exposing her body.

Eventually, “Hobbs and Shaw” introduces us to a Samoan community. Clearly, Johnson’s Samoan roots are on display. Quite frankly, I found this section of the film very intriguing. The “Fast and Furious” franchise has a solid track record in the diversity department

This coming-of-age film directed by Chandler Levack succeeds at portraying an accurate representation of what life was like in the early 2010’s.

Instead, obstacles arise, both physical and mental, which attempt to dissuade us or even prevent us from moving forward, stalling or stagnating the momentum to achieve what we desire. Although Christmas is a time of year for love and cheer for all, holiday cinema has not always represented diverse communities. Being a holiday with Christian origins, much of its media consists of straight white families or straight white romances.
