However, the long-continued battle against the Taint casts a small shadow on the glory of the seasoned fighters. A tainting as if to ridicule them for being unable to find out the root for the problem spreads around, and turns from a small matter into a big dilemma. That moment what crossed Shiga Naoya's mind was Kobayashi Takiji, who previously had faced a great enemy with his literature. Grieving the harshness of the battle this time, Shiga was planning to transmigrate Kobayashi, but even during a time like that, the amount of tainted books was increasing... Not giving up even during the approaching crisis, Shiga comes up with a plan to solve the situation. All alone, Mushanokouji Saneatsu was quietly watching him from a distance.
