Rosa is an exhausted mother of a newborn baby and an owner of a village hairdressing salon. One day, a beautiful young widow Ines returns to the village and begs Rosa to come back working with her in what was once their mutual salon, which the latter, rather curmudgingly accepts. However, as her child begins to grow more ill after Ines' arrival, Rosa begins to suspect that her former best friend had cursed her newborn out of jealously, deciding to turn to the local witch doctor for help.
