In a village in northern Iran, where folklore and reality intertwine, a chemical war has forced all residents to wear gas masks. Anyone who removes their mask will die within five minutes. Masht-e Masih, a blind villager, lives with his faithful dog. When the dog mysteriously disappears, the village fortune-teller claims that Siā Gālesh, a legendary creature from Gilaki folklore, has taken it. Determined to rescue his companion, Masht-e Masih enters the water in search of the mythical being.
