I Love You Forever, marketed as a “subversive” romantic comedy is in fact a painful horror film about a young woman deep in the throes of an abusive relationship.

Lawyer Oleksandr gets a chance to land his dream job and finally break free from his current eccentric boss. For this, he is even willing to sacrifice precious family vacation time with his son and wife. However, his whole life suddenly turns upside down: all food turns into sweets, a shaggy dog runs around nearby, and friends and colleagues believe he is a policeman. Moreover, a former classmate-turned-star, whom he hasn’t seen in years, suddenly falls head over heels for him. Now Oleksandr must protect his own life and sanity, because once he made the wrong wish to Saint Nicholas…

Earth and Blood is slow, but it still has it’s entertaining moments. If you’re into thrillers, or want to watch something new, then this film might be for you. As for me, Earth and Blood was tolerable enough.
One Night in Miami... did not frame the racism and bigotry as something that could be solved by quality time spent between individuals. Instead, it featured four different legends of Black History together in one room disagreeing for about 2/3 of the film.
