A young mother, Von struggles to raise her son Jackson, who is affected by high-functioning autism. Facing social problems at school and challenged by his own disability, Jackson loses his self-esteem and ambition, abandoning his favorite passion: sketching. Von and her husband must put aside their own mounting financial and personal issues to give Jackson the strength and inspiration to pick up his pencil again.

I can say without question, that this is the first movie I’ve ever seen where art imitates life so much that I could 100% identify with it on a personal level. The predominately Black cast of characters are people with hopes, dreams, fears, and ambitions.
Birds of Prey has some of the best stunt work and choreography of 2020, and was the most fun I’d had in an action film since John Wick 3.

Cursed is based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel, and is a retelling of the Arthurian legend with a twist. Instead of King Arthur gaining Excalibur, a teenage sorceress named Nimue (Katherine Langford) does. Her people — the Fey — are being hunted down, and so Nimue will do whatever it takes to save them.
