‘Viral’ Review: Ignorance is a Dangerous Thing
Throughout the film, Kate desperately tries keeping her status as an influential YouTuber; however, her follower and view count crumble, mirroring the world around her.

Trapped in a lonely existence, reclusive widower Roy passes the days by cold-calling strangers from the phone book, looking for brief moments of companionship. But when he accidentally calls adult hotline worker Cara, an unlikely friendship is born that will help them both rediscover the joy of life.

While the film didn’t hit me as emotionally as I wanted it to, I still enjoyed it. I simply wish there was a little more, particularly with the world building.

Intergenerational friendships and community can be so powerful, and this was a great example.
