In the far reaches of outer space, on a distant world known only as Planet-X, lives a race of beings, so highly advanced, they have successfully merged man and machine into one. They call themselves Humatrons, and on Planet-X, every Humatron is created with meaning, and purpose. Under the rule of the Robot King, society functions to absolute perfection. But when his daughter, the Robot Princess mysteriously vanishes, the king enlists the help of his most trusted servant, the Space Ranger, to bring her back safe and sound.
The film's Incluvie rating is off the charts. It features Black, Muslim, queer, trans humans whose moms hold them up, fight for them, and love them for who they are...making anything possible.
Like most young people, Leviticus is imperfect. But I love it anyways.
From the cinematography to the script to the acting, Sorry, Baby is undoubtedly one of the best films of the year.
My review’s title is a nod to Shakespeare and is entirely deliberate. The original movie portrayed the high-end fashion world as a brutal arena of plotting, backstabbing, and betrayal, and most Shakespeare’s plays depend on these plot devices. The Devil Wears Prada 2 uses the same formula, and is, plot-wise, almost identical. Once again, we plunge into the cutthroat world of Runway, where to get and stay at the top, you must let go of your principles and moral sense. The only thing different is that due to the digital era, Runway is not a print magazine anymore, but one that is running online.
Director Martin Scorsese broadens his boundaries from mafia-driven movies, to a Buddhist biopic of the 14th Dalai Lama. While Buddhism strives for peace, ‘Kundun’ reveals the violence inflicted on Tibetan Buddhists and Scorsese’s depiction of violence does not stray away.
Not every silence is empty. Some are filled with things too heavy for words.
