R.I.P. - a lovely splatter movie in 2D. Death is not in best shape. After all, he is a few billion years old. His best days are over. And he is very forgetful. One night he even loses his most important tool: His scythe! The ultimate instrument of evil falls into the hands of Lulu, a nice young girl with some problems. Soon she realizes the power that was given to her. It's payback time. The gangs, the bullies, the Taxmen - everyone gets what they deserve. Or don't they? Anyway, chaos breaks out on earth and in heaven. St. Peter is not amused. Will Death ever see his scythe again? Will Lulu come to her senses? See for yourself in R.I.P. - Rest in Pieces.
“Synchronic” is special, but it doesn’t succeed in achieving all the objectives it aims for. The film is a science fiction oeuvre which tries to be cerebral at some points, although the original idea is interesting, it only accomplishes to talk about some serious matters superficially.
A24 keeps producing amazing films and X belongs with all the brilliant titles under its name. And is definitely a must-watch for a film enthusiast!
Like all modern societal phenomenons, it started with a meme. This one highlighted that when there’s a mom in a Pixar film, she is almost without fail given striking curves that highlight the bottom half of her body following a minuscule waist. From Elastigirl to the skeletal Mama Imelda, the animation giant’s artists seem to have a fixation on making exaggeratedly curvy maternal characters.
Even without the messaging, Mercy does not hold up as a movie. It's sloppily done and the mystery doesn’t tie together at the end.
It took writers D.B Weiss and David Benioff two years to give us a promising final season. Two. Years. It was just going to be six episodes, which was short considering that all the other seasons — except season 7 — were 10 episodes. 10. 6 wasn’t enough, and even HBO wanted to give the writers more episodes. More seasons, even. However, the writers wanted to get out of the show as quickly as possible to work on other projects. This abruptness is clearly shown in this season.
"Come Play" was entertaining and had some great ideas about how to scare children away from playing with facial recognition settings.
