Ada, a reserved young woman with a passion for entomology, travels north with Marissa, her free-spirited musician girlfriend. She's finally meeting the three brothers who helped raise Marissa: the paternal Ozzie, sensitive Arthur, and wild child Wren. As Marissa and her kin settle into their familial dynamics, Ada finds herself on the outside looking in. Desperate to make a good impression over the course of a weekend packed with fun and frivolity, Ada instead struggles to find common ground, opening fissures in the one relationship she needs the most.
t’s relatable and heartbreaking all at once, and it’s impossible to watch Happy Together without reflecting on oneself. The film is stunning in every aspect, and is a vital piece of LGBTQ cinema.
Wild Child tells the story of a wealthy, spoiled teenage girl named Poppy Moore who lives in Malibu, California, who attends a boarding school in England. This film shows us how Poppy is first labeled as a fish out of water compared to her boarding school classmates, as she is a wild child, but eventually earns her roommates' friendships and respect.
This film is a splendid mix of mediums, but its strength lies in its simplicity and beautiful message of closeness.
Richard speaks with Dia Frampton about some of her experiences with acting and music.
I highly recommend Kill Bill: Volume 2. In classic Tarantino fashion, specific sections of the film are a tad too long, but overall, it’s a wonderful piece of escapist fiction.
