Repeat follows two young women as their friendship unravels. Told in four non-linear scenes, the film traces the emotional arc of their friendship through the lense of the romance genre: falling in love, being in love, falling out, and letting go.
During the third act, the momentum stalls, largely due to the film’s obsession with Kubrick’s visual design. But all in all, Doctor Sleep is a cinematic success, defined by rich characters and high powered emotion.

All in all, “Event Horizon” is a cinematic misfire, begging to be perfected in the future. While it possesses an array of admirable visuals, the film leaves much to be desired. If only we could see Anderson’s preferred cut, which featured more character development and tortuous imagery. In the meantime, I have a catchphrase for this film: In space no one can hear you snore.
We are incredibly blessed that this movie is available for us to see, and we should take advantage of the opportunity we’ve been given.
