A Xiang, a country girl working at Dafeng cotton mill, purchases a red dress, in fashion on the streets of Shanghai. One day, she lends it to Xing'er, a model worker, and causes a drastic shift in her personality.
The film didn’t have to be as long as it is. It just dragged on and on with scenes that had no substance. Every so often we get an action scene, and even those isn’t that fun.

There’s a kid who can only move in slow motion, a kid who has every power in the world but can only use them randomly, and our main character Missy who has no powers at all. The thesis of the film seems to be that it doesn’t matter what kind of powers you have, its the way you use them, which is good for the warm and fuzzies.
