When Christina returns as a teacher to the school where she was once a student herself, she carries with her a past she thought was long over. In the classroom she is confronted with the problematic Mathilde, 16, who has lived in a shelter since her mother's death. Their meeting sets off a power struggle that quickly grows beyond the classroom walls. Mathilde struggles to hold on to a world that is falling apart around her, while Christina struggles not to become who she once was. Harassment, secrets and lies pull them towards a darkness neither of them can control.
