A group of friends—Julien, Sophie, Gaspard, Caroline, and Victor—are planning a major mountaineering trip to climb the Tibetan peaks in July, under the supervision of their friend Sébastien, a medical student. Shortly before their departure, Sébastien breaks his leg and has to give up a summer job as an instructor at a thalassotherapy center in Le Touquet, which was meant to finance his studies. Victor then offers to replace him, and the others decide to go to Tibet anyway.
Documented human suffering is never easy to view or read about and is understandably triggering for many people, but it can be educational, and education is a key to change. The more we learned with each passing minute the bigger the reveal. This film ends with a serious bang and it was truly a joy to watch.
Do not trust Rotten Tomatoes. That is what I learned after watching Eternals. Critics currently rate it a 48%, but it's an amazing character-focused Marvel movie with positive diverse representation.
