
Elzė returns to Lithuania from Switzerland for a vacation. She rents a cozy farmhouse in a remote village, hoping to find peace and inspiration for her painting. However, the idyllic peace is disturbed by Nojus. Their budding friendship soon sparks passion, and their love is intertwined with desire, longing, and fear. I first saw Dear Evan Hansen on the Broadway stage. Apparently, I was so blown away by the magic of theater that I didn’t pick up on the questionable dynamics. The story's clumsy handling in the movie brought those issues to light.
I was able to watch the gleefully mesmerizing Disney remake that was Robert Zemeckis’ Pinocchio. I was enthralled by Zemeckis’ iteration.
