A film told from Baguio-born filmmaker Lynette Carantes-Bibal’s perspective as a woman of the Cordilleras and as daughter of Ibaloy artist, historian and former public servant Geoffrey M. Carantes. Pëngsasan touches on memory and modernity, shattering the illusion of time, of the border between the past and the present.

Women who pray together, play together. Very rarely would I describe a story about a group of punk rockers as “whimsical”, but such an engaging array of visual and comedic components make this stand-out new series the star that it is.
Written and directed by Eva Victor, who also plays Agnes, the main character, Sorry, Baby is slow and artsy, but extremely effective. It shows how the trauma developed after a sexual assault has a ripple effect and loudly echoes in the victim and her life for years after.
