Nara’s (35) marriage has become boring and so has her attitude towards life. One day, instead of going to work she decides to walk around the city and ends up at her childhood neighborhood. She meets Lucia (56), and they spend the day together having delightful conversations that will mess around with both of their desires and shake things up.
The film is a simple love story reminiscent of stories like The Notebook released in 2004. Sylvie and Robert are rarely actually together in the film, however; time and circumstance keep them away from each other, and the audience waits with bated breath to see them find one another over and over.
The Force Awakens is A New Hope 2.0, in essence. The story structure is virtually unchanged, marking a safe opening to the new trilogy.
As a frequent “the book was better” extoller, this movie was well worth the watch.
