His protests against his teacher who discriminates between the landlord's son and other children brings him the wrath of the landlord and he's forced to leave home. He leads a hard life fighting to uphold his ideals. He ends up being a rickshaw puller and at this time finds a child from the gutter and takes care of her. Things do not go as Pappu expected as the child grows older.
