This is the treacherous tale of a man knowing too little of what he wants and a woman believing too much in what she hopes to be true. Their story centres connectivity, the sweetness of feeling and how small actions can build a picture that is overwhelmingly big and increasingly mythical. Uncertainty courses through its veins but here it breathes. This film is made up of the hours of VHS footage that couldn't make it into the 30-minute-long film Fitting Room that will follow it. Here we will see Callum and Imani return, in a few months after the world of Nothing Belongs To Me Alone ends. Its title is borrowed from a poem I wrote. The documentary aspects also capture the filming of Fitting Room and allow the relationship between these two people to play amongst reality.

“And I think to myself….what a wonderful world”. Louis Armstrong sang about this notion via his classic 1967 song, an ode to witnessing elements of our life that should be but some reminders of exactly what that concluding line of each verse indicates. Now we see our contemporary realities and, just being honest, it makes a sentiment like this seem SO overtly far away….perhaps even impossible….to accept or believe could be. It sounds harsh, but again, so much of what is occurring speaks not to beauty, but bedlam.

Honey Don’t!: A Messy Queer but Mischievous Comedy

Honey Don't! is a chaotic queer noir that's part detective story, part midnight movie madness. Margaret Qualley is fantastic as the wise-cracking private eye Honey, with Aubrey Plaza and Chris Evans adding their own dry humor to the mix. The mystery itself is pretty loose, but the film makes up for it with crackling sexual tension, weird side characters, and razor-sharp dialogue. It's messy and uneven, but in the best possible way.
